Donald Lynn Love, age 64, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017 after a yearlong battle with cancer. He was born on July 1, 1952, in McKinney, to James and Dorothy Bea Love. Donald grew up in McKinney and was involved with the family's farming business for most of his life. He also worked for Good Will Industries in McKinney for 10 years. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Bea Love of McKinney and sisters Vickie Lawrence and husband Van of McKinney, Janet James and husband Rick of Westminster, Karla Power and husband Tim of McKinney, and Cindy Greenlee and husband Scott of Flower Mound; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by is father, James Love, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joneth Love and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Morrison. A graveside service will take place at 2:00 on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Wilson Chapel Cemetery in Lowry Crossing, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday, May 8 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Scoggins Funeral Home in Van Alstyne, Texas. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you please make a donation to the American Cancer Society. He was loved by many and will be missed.
