Rachel "Grandma" Stacy, 74, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 in Graham. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Rachel was born on July 4, 1937 in Shamrock to the late Melvin and Ida (Bradley) Richardson. She married Herbert Gene Stacy on March 17, 1963. He preceded her in death September 20, 1995. Rachel moved to Graham in 1997 from Shamrock. She worked as a LVN while living in Shamrock. Rachel worked as a Para-Professional for the Graham Independent School District and was a Special Olympics Coach. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Graham where she worked with special ministries and at the family life center. Survivors include: daughter, Sally Stacy of Graham; son, Gene Stacy of Graham; grandchildren, Kendra Jones and husband, Jerrad and Gentry Stacy and wife, Krista; great grandchildren, Brayden Jones and Natalie Stacy. She was preceded in death by son, Wendell Lynn Stacy. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Email this obituary to family & friends.
