JOHNNY KOLIBA BLOOMINGTON - Johnny Koliba, age 77, of Bloomington passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2012. He was born on August 21, 1934 in Hocheim, TX to the late James Koliba and Emma Hajek Koliba. Johnny was a longtime rancher and fisherman in Victoria County and was widely known for his vegetable garden that he grew every year. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army. Survivors are his sons, Mark Koliba and J.W. Johnson (Tina); daughter, Elizabeth "Lisa" Cruz; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, Kathryn Koliba, brothers, Bernard and Erwin Koliba and granddaughter, Kathleen Johnson. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 from 5:00 to 6:30 pm at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Bloomington followed with a rosary at 6:30 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 10 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Rev. Samuel Appiasi officiating. Burial will follow at San Jose Cemetery. Pallbearers are Wayne Johnson, Jolen Johnson, James Johnson, Eric Vasquez, Andy Vasquez and Leonard Linke. Honorary Pallbearers are Pee Wee Robles and Warren Whatley.
