LOS GATOS - Services will be Tuesday for Sylvester Maupin, 74, of 115 Wilder Ave., formerly of Campbell, who died Saturday in a Los Gatos convalescent Hospital after a prolonged illness. Maupin, a carpenter for 50 years, was born in Texas and moved to California and Santa Clara County 23 years ago. He moved from 1149 San Tomas Aquino Road about two months ago. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. at Campbell Memorial Chapel with Cliff Winters of the Church of Christ of Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Santa Clara City Cemetery. Survivors include the wife, Sally Maupin; four daughters, Mrs. Loucille Naylor of Cassville, Mo., Mrs. Dale Lyndon of Los Gatos, Mrs. Barbara Holstein of Santa Clara and Mrs. Shirley Caudill of Los Gatos, two sons, Sylvester Maupin Jr of Lubbock, Tex., and Bobbie Maupin of San Jose; 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
