Graveside services for Mildred "Pat" Reese, 84, of Longview will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Willow Oak Cemetery, Gilmer, with Dr. Rick Webb officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. She passed away Monday, December 26, in a Longview hospital. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Reese was born September 27, 1927 in Pittsburg, TX to Carl and Rose Pilgrim and had been a resident of Longview since 1959. She was a homemaker and a member of the Greggton United Methodist Church. She was an avid golfer, a member of the Eastern Star and a WWII Veteran of the U. S. Navy. Mrs. Reese will be remembered by her energetic personality, her beautiful smile and the twinkle in her eyes. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 1 sister. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Suzanne Garrett of Longview; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Laurie Garrett of Bryan, TX; grandchildren, Tracy Webb and husband Mike of Longview, Nicole Garrett of Bryan, Courtney Kosh and husband Clint of Bryan and Carlee Garrett of Bryan; great granddaughters, Mary Elizabeth Garrett and Katelyn Kosh both of Bryan; great grandsons, Jason Thorp of Bryan and Colin and Connor Duffey of Longview; sister, Doris McNutt of Longview; and several nieces and nephews.
