FAYETTEVILLE NEWS Thursday afternoon at the home of her daughter Mrs. Rosa Veselka, Mrs. Antonia Veselka, wife of Joe Veselka, gave up the struggle and accepted the call, passing down the valley, which her faith prompted her to believe was a haven of rest. During her illness of the past two years, she essayed to overcome the effects of the disease, but on Thursday, January 22nd, after every attention was given her by her faithful daughter, with her other children who ever stood at attention, she closed her beloved eyes and passed on. Grandma Veselka reached the age of 83 years, and was buried Sunday morning, with high mass. The attendance at the grave as well as the beautiful floral offerings, told how much she was loved. She has gone to join her husband and three grown children who preceded her in death several years ago. She leaves to mourn her departure her eight children: Mesdames Rosa Veselka, and Mrs. Oscar (Emily) Heintschel of here, Mrs. Joe Najva (Note: Hermina Naivar), Emil, Raymond and Henry Veselka of Taylor, John Veselka of Los Angeles, California, and Frank Veselka of LaGrange. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Joe Klobouk of here, Rev. Zientek of LaGrange, and Rev. Raska of Taylor, interment in the Catholic cemetery.
