Hillsboro Evening Mirror Monday, May 31, 1948 Nelson Triplett Funeral services for Nelson Triplett, 43, who died at 11:55 p.m. Saturday after an extended illness at the home of his brother, Jack Triplett, at Vaughan, were to be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Marshall and Marshall Chapel, with Willard Morrow, minister of the Rosen Heights Church of Christ, and the Rev. H.C. Bowman of Abbott officiating. Interment was to be in the Vaughan Cemetery. Mr. Triplett was a native of Vaughan. He was associated with gins at Vaughan and in Hillsboro for a number of years prior to taking a civil service position at Brownwood in 1943. He was married to Miss Spencer May in 1925. Mr. Triplett was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ and Hillsboro Lodge No. 196 A. F. and A. M. Survivors include his widow; one son Benny Triplett; his mother, Mrs. Floyd Triplett, three brothers, Jack Triplett, Vaughan, F. L. Triplett, San Antonio and County Judge Max Triplett, Hillsboro and one sister, Mrs. W. E. Franklin, Austin.
