FUNERAL SERVICES HELD WEDNESDAY FOR FORMER CORSICANAN Funeral services for Mrs. J. D. Toten, 38, former resident of Corsicana, who died at her home in Pampa, Texas late Monday after a lingering illness were held at the chapel of the Corley-McMahon funeral home Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock and interment in Oakwood cemetery was made Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock. A short service was held at the grave Thursday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. A. C. Carraway, assistant pastor of the First Methodist church. The body arrived in Corsicana shortly before noon Wednesday on the Southern Pacific train. Surviving are her husband, of Pampa; two sons, Thurman Gordon and Aubrey Gordon, both of Corsicana; mother, Mrs. Lizzie Coker, Eureka; four sisters, Mrs. Nora Crawford, Corsicana; Mrs. Beulah Farmer, Rural Shade; Mrs. J. R. Hagel, Dawson and Mrs. Emma Brady, Dallas county; two brothers, Willie Coker, Dallas, and Tommie Coker, Eureka; a step-son, J. D. Toten, Jr., Brushy Prairie, and a step-daughter, Miss Lu (rest of name blacked out) Toten, Houston. The Corsicana Daily Sun Thursday, July 30, 1931 d/o William M.
