Age 81. Stanton, IA. Passed away in Ocala, FL on Thursday, May 10, 2012 after a short battle with brain cancer. Warren Kvetensky was born in Omaha, NE to Joseph and Louise (Swoboda) Kvetensky. He graduated in 1948 from Benson High School in Omaha. After leaving Iowa State Engineering College, he joined the Air Force for the Korean Conflict. During his military career, he served 29-1/2 years in the Air Force as a pilot and logged 213 hours combat time in Korea during the early 1950s. He also tested missiles and was a Liaison officer out of the Pentagon. After retiring from the Air Force, Warren went to Flight Safety International and taught people how to fly Lear Jets. Warren was married to Erma Dell Reed on April 25, 1955. To this union were born two sons, Stephen Joseph and Robert Neal. Warren met and married Lois Ingebritson on July 16, 1988 in a Chapel on the shores of Lake Tahoe. He had a zest and zeal for life and lived it to the fullest, surrounded by his family and friends. He was a wonderful husband and father. He is survived by wife Lois Ingebritson Kvetensky of the home; sons, Stephen (Celeste) Kvetensky, Olathe, KS, and Robert Kvetensky, Omaha; sister Ann (Gary) Churchill of Omaha; and brother James (Bette) Kvetensky, also of Omaha. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Louise (Swoboda) Kvetensky; and former wife Erma Dell (Reed) Kvetensky. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, with Military Honors at a date to be determined. Arrangements are being handled by the Neptune Society, FL.
