The Paris News Sunday January 9, 1955 Page 12 Column 5 John Irvin Rush, 57, of Bagwell, died Saturday about 9 a.m. at the home of his brother-in-law, Felix Morris, 1417 Bonham Street(Paris). He made his home at Bagwell with an Uncle, Verner D. Jones, but had been at the Morris home since dismissal from a hospital here Thursday. A former railroad employee, he had retired five years ago because of a heart ailment. He previously made his home with the Morrises here. Last rites, Monday at 10 a.m., will be conducted at Bagwell Church of Christ by Hubert Roach of Paris, and Gene Roden & Sons will make burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Park, east of Paris. Pallbearers will be Cleve Rhodes, J. M. Pike, and Charley Brooks, Bagwell; J. W. Kincaid, Blossom; Felix Morris and Oscar Bowen here. Mr. Rush was born at Bagwell, in November, 1907 [sic], son of the late Jim and May Redding (Jones) Rush. Surviving are two uncles, Mr. Jones at Bagwell and H. I. Jones, Clarksville, and a sister, Mrs. Nell Rye, in California.
