Smith; Was Food Manufacturer Mary D. Smith, president and owner of a frozen foods manufacturing company, died Friday (Nov 8, 1991) at her home after a brief bout with cancer. She was 64. Mrs. Smit, of Glendale, founded Quelle Quiche Ltd. in 1970. The company, which is based in Brentwood, also distributes its frozen goods nationwide. She was past president of the Glendale Historical Society and a former board member of the Zelda Epstein Day Care Center in Brentwood. She also did volunteer work with children stricken with cerebral palsy. Mrs. Smit was born in Glendale and graduated from Ward Belmont College in Nashville, Tenn. The funeral service and burial will be private. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Road, Kirkwood. Among the survivors are a daughter, Elizabeth I.
