Bio
Peggy Jean Spacek, 76, daughter of Clarence and Frances Fraunfelder, was born July 22, 1929, at Verdon, Neb. She died May 27, 2006, at Mountain View Health Care. She married Mike Spacek Dec. 24, 1946. They were married 41 years and had three children. Mrs. Spacek was saved at a Church of Christ tent meeting at Mountain View. She attended church at Oakside, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her family, reading, ceramics, embroidery and watching Paula Dean and the Barefoot Contessa's cooking shows. When she became ill, requiring dialysis in West Plains three times each week, several people volunteered their time to take her for the treatment. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Surviving are her children, Sandra Armfield of Belleville, Ill., Fran Craig of McLoud, Okla., and Michael "Butch" Spacek of Summersville; one brother, Bill Fraunfelder of Mountain View; one sister, Judy Stadnyk of Ashland, Wis.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services were May 30 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel in Summersville with the Rev. Chester Webster and the Rev. Rick Spacek officiating. Burial was in the Oakside Cemetery.
