Vlasta "Vicky" (Mihulka) Oltmanns , 85, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Scottsbluff after a brief illness. A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Calvary Lutheran Church with Pastor Brad Brauer officiating. Cremation was held at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory. Vicky was born to Frank and Mary (Pokorny) Mihulka on September 3, 1926, in Rogers, Nebraska. She attended school in Schuyler, Nebraska, and was working in Scottsbluff when she met and married William F. "Bill" Oltmanns on August 30, 1946. They celebrated their 65th anniversary last year. Vicky was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church for more than 50 years. She was a member of the BPO Does #21 for more than 50 years and held several offices. She and Bill had a business preparing income taxes for more than 30 years. She enjoyed her association with people in the business and organizations, and was never unkind or mean-spirited. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Ben, Eldon and Frank, and sister Helen. She is survived by her husband, Bill, daughter Judy Oltmanns, and brother- and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.
