Bio

Although his death cert. lists his occupation as "capitalist," most of the census reports indicate his occupation was farmer. Uriah Tadlock was a veteran of the Civil War (CSA marker on burial plot), and afterwards moved to this area. By the 1870 census, he and his family were settled in an area designated as "West of the Bosque River" in McLennan County.
