Variations of surname: Huls, Hulse, Hultz, etc. Son of Leonard C Hults (1810 NY-1874 MN) -------------------------------------- Homer Hultz [sic] Homer Hultz, 83, died Friday afternoon at his home in Grand Island, after a prolonged illness. Mr Hultz formerly of Boelus and later of Loup City moved to Grand Island seven years ago. He was born Sept 17, 1871 at Melrose, Minn. He with his parents [sic - his mother], Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hultz, came to Loup City when he was 11 years of age. On March 18, 1902 he was married to Caroline Johnson of Boelus. One son and two daughters were born to them. Survivors are his wife, son, Homer Hultz, Jr., Vernon, Tex,two daughters, Mrs. Edna (Hans) Jessen, Mrs. Gladys (Gerhart) Glinsman, Shelton: five grandchildren, one great grandchild; also two sisters, Mrs (Will) Dolly Fletcher, Willow Lake and Mrs. Dora McClement, Coquille, Ore. He was preceded in death by his brothers, a son, a daughter, six brothers, and a sister. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Seventh Day Church of which he was a member. The services were in charge of of the pastor Rev Kurt Kurz. Interment was made in the Evergreen Cemetery at Loup City where graveside services were conducted at 3:00 p.m. Monday.
