Funeral services for Mrs. R.W. Paris, who died Tuesday morning at 8:30 o'clock at her home at Martin's Mill were held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the residence, with the Rev. Lansford officiating. Burial was in the Holly Springs cemetery. The Carroll and Lehr Funeral Home of Athens was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Virgil Willis, J.S. Strickland, Gordon V. Daniels, Leonard Daniels, Melby Boyd, and Will Simms. Mrs. Paris was born on April 15, 1876, in Tennessee, and had resided at Martin's Mill for the past twenty-three years. Surviving are her husband; six sons, Bill Paris of Premont; Jess Paris of Alice; L.R. Paris of Angleton; Lynn Paris of Port Arthur; Gene Paris of Martin's Mill and Ted Paris who is in the U.S. Army and is stationed at Camp Campbell, Kentucky; four daughters, Mrs. Lela Bearden Martin's Mill; Mrs. Dock Terry of Alice; Mrs. Harry Barker of Dallas, and Mrs. Newborn White of Martin's, Mississippi; and two sisters and one brother who live in Tennessee.
