Bio

Mary Mings Nichols, 67, of Longview, passed away on April 30, 2002, after a lengthy fight with cancer. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 4, 2002, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Dr. Harry Lucenay officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Park. Mary was born in Kirvin, Texas, to the late John Wesley and Winnie Dee Marberry. She was a longtime resident of the Longview area and graduated from Kilgore High School. She was a lifetime homemaker and loved arts and crafts, and the company of her Toy Poodle and constant companion, "Goldie." She was a member of Kilgore Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Richard Nichols; her granddaughter, Ashley Paige Camp; sister, Peggy Ruth Marberry; and brother, J.W. Marberry. Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Camp and her husband, Steve; son, Bob Mings, Jr., all of Longview; grandchildren, Shannon Dee Kane Reinhardt and her husband, Jim, Bradley Scott Gary, and Aaron Todd Gary, all of Austin, Mary Katherine "Katie" Camp, of Longview, and Michael Robert Mings, of Addy, Washington; great-grandson, Benjamin Kane Reinhardt, of Austin; sisters, Dee Judy and her husband, R.C. Judy, of Longview, and Betty Jo Ecoff, of Teague; brother-in-law, Lee Nichols, of Karnack, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
