Bio

from Kansas City Star March 1, 1990: Mable Lee Kitchell, 81, West Plains, Mo., formerly of this area, died Feb. 27, 1990, at a hospital in Springfield, Mo. She was born in Eminence, Mo., and lived in Kansas City, Kan., before moving to Adrian, Mo., in 1961. She moved to West Plains in 1988. Mrs. Kitchell was a member of the Adrian Christian Church. Survivors include two sons, Gene Watson, Overland Park, and Charles Watson of the home; a daughter, Virginia Shenkel, Mission; a sister, Anna Willett, Adrian; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Atkinson Chapel, Adrian; burial in Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel.
