************************************** Frank J. Jirovsky, 93 years of Fremont passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at his home. Frank was born Jan. 28, 1919 on a farm northwest of Cedar Bluffs, NE to Frank and Frances (Konecky) Jirovsky. Frank grew up and lived and farmed on the family farm northwest of Cedar Bluffs, NE. He entered the US Army and served during World War II from Jan. 24, 1942 to Nov. 5, 1945 in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. Frank married Helen Tenopir May 11, 1949 at Cedar Bluffs, NE. The couple moved to Fremont in 1977. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont, Knights of Columbus Council 1497 in Fremont and American Legion Post 158 of Cedar Bluffs, NE. Frank was an avid fisherman. Frank is survived by his wife, Helen Jirovsky of Fremont; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Linda Jirovsky of Fremont and Frank and Kimberly Jirovsky of Cedar Bluffs, NE.; daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Kenneth Pieper and Mary and Charles "Chuck" Williamson all of Fremont.; sisters, Helen Hedges of Weston, NE and Agnes Rezac of Wahoo, NE. 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lloyd Jirovsky and 2 sisters, Frances Wotipka and Mary Cherovsky. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM., Monday, May 7th at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. Fr. Jim Keiter will officiate. Vigil Service/Knights of Columbus Rosary will be at 7 PM on Sunday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4 PM to 8 PM and the family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 PM to 7 PM also at Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont. Visitation continues on Monday 1hr prior to the service at the church. Military graveside service will be conducted by Fremont Honor Guard of VFW Post #854 and American Legion Post #20 at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont.
