Bio

The McLoud Monitor (McLoud, Oklahoma), 25 Jun 1959, pg 1 Services for E C Coulston, 61, of McLoud were held at 3 pm Monday in the McLoud Baptist church. Rev E N Day, minister of the McLoud Baptist church, conducted services. Burial was in Resthaven Memorial park. Mr Coulston died Friday evening in an Oklahoma City hospital after a long illness. He had lived at McLoud 9 years. He was liked by people of his community and will be remembered for his many charitable deeds. He was a rancher and farmer and he attended the Baptist church. He was born in Collinsville, Texas on June 18, 1898, and was the son of the late Charlie and Lucy Coulston. He moved to Duncan and lived there until 1926, when he moved to Shawnee. He lived there until 1950 when he moved to McLoud. On April 3 he was awarded the gold honorary membership FFA pin in recognition of his cooperation with the McLoud chapter of FFA at its parent-son banquet. Survivors are his wife Mr Lottie Coulston, of the home; four brothers, Lonnie and Lee Coulston of Temple, Ola Coulston of Duncan, and Curtis Coulston of Tyler, Texas; three sisters, Mrs Ollie McCollum, Duncan, Mrs Vera Britt, Baytown, Texas, and Mrs Lois Vanlandham, New Braunfels, Texas. Bearers were Travis Mauldin, LeIon Higdon, Howard Lisle, R D Stacey, Herman Hodde and Willard Barrett. McLoud FFA members served as honorary bearers. Roesch Brothers funeral chapel had charge of arrangement.
