Corine Jones TEXAS CITY — Mrs. Corine Jones passed from this life Saturday morning in Texas City. Born October 8, 1917, in Carthage, Texas, Mrs. Jones had been a resident of Texas City since 1952. She was a homemaker, a member of Mainland Church of Christ and was completely devoted to her family. Preceded in death by her parents, Fate and Emma Parker; husband, Willie Jones; son, Gene Jones and grandson, Paul Pennington, survivors include her son, Gary Jones; daughters, Patsy Goolsby and Marie Pennington; daughter-in-law, Barbara Jones; grandchildren, Terry and Tammy Pennington, Stephen and Tina Pennington, Trey and Vicki Goolsby, Ryan Goolsby and Colleen Pennington, who had been married to Paul. Great-grandchildren include Willie and Nikki Pennington, Sammi and Aimee Pennington, Kayeleigh and Cheyenne Pennington, Zachery and Jessica Goolsby and 4 great-great-grandchldren. Graveside services were conducted at 9 a.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2005, at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, Mr. Russell McLaughlin officiating.
