In 1870, Stephen, age 24, was living with his sister and her husband (Emeline and James Cogdill, in Camden Township in DeKalb Co. MO. In 1880, Stephen and Henrietta Catherine Huffman were living in Polk Township, DeKalb Co. MO with five sons. Between 1872 and 1891, Stephen and Henrietta had six boys and one girl, all born at Maysville in DeKalb Co. They also had two girls who died in infancy. Between 1891 and 1900, the family moved to Okla. where they homesteaded land about ten miles west of Kingfisher. In 1900, they were farming in Omega Township, Kingfisher Co. At that time, the oldest son, William, had married Laura Ellen Barrackman and they were living in Harrison Township, Dewey Co. OK. Son Benjamin Kirby was living in Watonga Township, Blaine Co. where he was a printer. Ancestral File Number: 4P60-D8 ----------------------- In Oct 1975, Marge Mudge Brown and her husband, met Arda Frans (child #7) at her home in Weatherford, OK. She was a retired teacher and librarian, very active in church work and taking classes at the college in Weatherford. Arda died in 1980 and is buried at Mound Valley Cemetery, Thomas, OK. She never married. ------------------------------ The Dept. of Health, Div. of Vital Statistics, Oklahoma City has birth & death records since 1908. Marriage records are with the County Court Clerks.
