T Sgt U S Army World War II Herbert Dempsey Goforth was born July 5, 1919, at San Miguel County, Colorado, the son of Solomon and Dora Conway Goforth, and passed away January 12, 1990, at Eminence, MO, at the age of 70 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one brother. He is survived by his wife Wanda Lee, of Las Vegas, NV; one son Herbert Dempsey Goforth, Jr., of Las Vegas, NV; two daughters, Sheila Darlene Bass of Beatty, NV; and Patricia Marie Roberts of Las Vegas, NV; one sister, Leona Heldman of Crestwood, MO; and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, January 15, 1990, at the Duncan Funeral Chapel in Eminence. Burial was in Bethany Chapel Cemetery in Eminence under the direction of the Duncan Funeral Home in Eminence.
