OBITUARY: Clayton Kay Vaughn Funeral Home, Alvarado TX, 27 Apr 2012 Carl Elva McKinney, 92, of Blum, passed into the Lords care on April 25, 2012. Service: 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 30, at Clayton Kay-Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel in Alvarado. Interment will follow at Cleburne Memorial Cemetery in Cleburne. Visitation: 6-8 P.M. Sunday, April 29. Carl served in WW II and was the recipient of the Purple Heart. He may have been one of the biggest Texas Ranger Baseball fans. April was his favorite month because that meant opening day for the Rangers. He didn't miss watching many games. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Carl is survived by his son, Charles A. McKinney and wife, Betty, of Blum; daughters, Claudine Bradley and husband, Kenneth, of Covington, Cenith Kay McCready of Rio Vista; 11 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews cousins and a host of friends that loved him very much.
