Bio

Stockwell, Jun 17 - Earl W. Gant, 46, a trucker in this community, died at St Elizabeth hospital, Lafayette, at 3 p.m. Tuesday, where he had been a patient for one week. Born near Lafayette, he married Zua Lucus in 1931. He was a member of the Monroe United Brethren church, F. & A.M. of Stockwell, Eastern Star, and the Lafayette aerie of Eagles. Surviving besides the widow are; a brother, Edward of Lafayette; six sisters, Mrs. Pearl Woodard of Lafayette, Mrs. Rillie Higer of Colfax; Mrs. Bertha Kirk of Darlington, Mrs. Ray Gordon of Monroe, Mrs. Elvin Rothenberger of Lafayette, Mrs. Harry Hiatt of Darlington.
