Marilyn Wieneke: Newspaper Obituary and Death Notice Schuyler Sun, The (NE) - February 15, 2012 Deceased Name: Marilyn Wieneke Marilyn Wieneke, 65, of Dodge, died Thursday, Feb, 9, 2012 at Parkview Nursing Home in Dodge. She was born Oct. 11, 1946, at West Point to Frank and Mary Semerad Vogeltanz. She attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic School in Dodge and was a 1964 graduate of Dodge Public High School. She graduated from Bahner Beauty School in Fremont. On May 1, 1965, she married Kenneth Wieneke at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge. The couple made their home and raised their family in Dodge. The whole family studied tae kwon do, and she earned a black belt. Marilyn later received a massage therapy license and worked doing massages in Schuyler. In October 2009, due to failing health, she became a resident of Parkview in Dodge. She was an active member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, where she served as sacristan. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth, of Dodge; four sons, Mark (Cindy) of West Point, Jeffrey (Allison) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Daniel (Shelly) of Osmond and Keith of Lincoln; and six grandchildren, Kelsey, Paige, Dylan, Logan, Carson and Kiarra. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brothe,r Delwyn Vogeltanz. Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday, Feb. 13, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge. The Rev. Pat McLaughlin was the celebrant. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Hospice or St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Stokely Funeral Home of Dodge handled arrangements.
