Bio
Daughter of Michael and Stella (Swederski) Kaminski. Married Leon Sperling in 1927 in Omaha. The couple lived in Ashton, North Loup and Spalding and farmed for many years near Wolbach, all in Nebraska. Helen was honored as the Howard County Homemaker of the year in 1965. She was a 4-H leader for many years and an extension club member for more than 65 years. Survived by a son, Robert, four daughters, Geraldine, Patricia, Kay and Lynda and sisters, Rexie Konkol and Sally Ann Smedra. Preceded in death by her husband, a son Melvin, three brothers, Walter, John and Louis Kaminski, and five sisters, Tekla Lewandoski, Mary Palu, Barbara Lewandoski, Margie Michels and Vivian Jolkoski.
