Bio
Opal M. Wright, age 94, of Garland, Texas, passed away on July 30, 2011. She was born September 19, 1916, in Denison, Texas to William Jesse and Edna Mae (Jack) Nelson. On February 11, 1933, Opal married J.W. Wright in Durant, Oklahoma. She was an eighty-plus year member of Community North Baptist Church, formerly King Memorial Baptist Church, in McKinney, Texas. She is survived by her children, Charles Wright and wife Sarabeth of Garland, Texas, Duryl Wright and wife Karen of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Juanell Stedman of Atlanta, Georgia; seven grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Opal was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Wright; parents, William and Edna Nelson; granddaughter, Nancy Wright; and brother, Arlin Nelson. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011, at 10:00 a.m., at Ridgeview Memorial Park, in Allen, Texas, with Rev. Don Bourland officiating.
