James "Jim" Maca, age 54, of Columbus died Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha. James F. Maca was born August 23, 1957 in in Omaha to Louis and Irene (Hughes) Maca. He grew up in Moline, Illinois. At the age of 15, he moved with his family to Columbus. He attended Scotus High and graduated from Columbus High School in 1975. Following high school he worked construction in the Quad Cities. He married Linda Scott in 1978. He continued living in Davenport, Iowa until returning to Columbus in 2010. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and was an avid collector.
