Bio

The Jeffersonian-Democrat, Brookville, Pennsylvania, Thursday, June 9, 1921, Page:4 J. Andrew Calhoun of Westville, died suddenly of heart failure, in Brockwayville Friday, June 3. He was born June 18, 1871, and married Alva Retta McClelland October 18, 1893. Six children were born, all of whom are living. They are Charles Calhoun, of Beechtree; Mrs. Gleason Joyner, of Brockwayville; Merle, of St. Thomas, Canada, Andrew and Donald at home. Mrs. Calhoun died three years ago. He is also survived by two sisters Mrs. Clair Klingensmith, of Detroit, and Mrs. Samuel Crawford, of Denver. Mr. Calhoun was a member of the Beechwcods Presbyterian Church for seventeen years, and was a trustee of the church. He was also a member of the Beechwoods Grange. Funeral services were held at his residence Monday by Rev. A. R. Bartholomew, assisted by Rev. G. W. McCaakey, of Beechtree. Interment was made in the Beechwoods Cemetery.
