WOODBURY, Tenn. John Ike Ferrell, 88, a retired farmer, died yesterday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Corney Gunter of the Short Mountain community, after a short illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Short Mountain New Methodist church. Derwood Mc-Cord and the Rev. Harlle Morrison will officiate and burial will be In the Grizzle cemetery. The body is at Woodbury funeral home. Mr. Ferrell was a native of Cannon county, son of G. and Mary Patrick Ferrell. He was a member of the Methodist church. In addition to Mrs. Gunter, he Is survived by another daughter, Mr. Hal B. Chumley; four sons. Ireland Ferrell, G. D. Ferrell, Arnold Gray Ferrell and Griffin Ferrell; one stepson, Robert Hoover; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Herschel Brazell, and a sister, Mrs, Hattie Osment, all of Cannon county; J2 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
