Doris Novaline Hobson (February 18, 1922 - April 16, 2012) Funeral services for Doris Novaline Hobson 90 of Kemp, will be held 1:00 PM Saturday at Bailey & Foster Chapel Palestine, with Bro. Russell Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Palestine. Mrs. Hobson passed away Monday at her residence. She was born February 18, 1922 in Anderson County, to Rebel Lone and Clemmie Urina Pierce McLen. She was a retired steno clerk for United Telephone Co., and was a member of First Baptist Church in Kemp and formerly a member of Hilltop Baptist Church in Berryville. She loved cooking, gardening and her flowers. Mrs. Hobson was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 66 years Edward Lee Hobson, who passed away in 2008, sister Polly Capper and brother Jack McLen. She is survived by sons Mike Hobson and wife Linda of Kaufman and Tim Hobson and wife Carla of Anna, nephew Jim Capper of Pennsylvania, grandchildren; Chris Hobson, Brandi Hobson, Barry Hobson, Bradly Hobson and Heather Gesino, great grandchildren' Anna Hobson, Sebastian Manning, Ben Hobson and Xander Herod. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Bridgeway Home Health Care and Hospice. Condolence calls will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at Bailey & Foster Palestine.
