Bio

James Percival Conners was a retired machinist for Stanco Bolt Company in Houston. He married Alice Emerald Karcher Motes, daughter of Francis Singleton "Frank" Karcher and Bertha Ferrell Karcher, on July 22, 1918 Harris County,​Texas. Alice had a son, Carl J Motes, from her previous marriage to Coleman Julius Moore Motes . Her infant son, Frances Karcher Motes, is buried at Hollywood Cemetery along with his father, Coleman, and a half-brother, 10 y/o Sidney Coleman Moore Motes, son of Coleman and Mary Davis Motes. The death certificate of Alice Karcher Motes Conners shows that her body was donated to Baylor College of Medicine.
