Ivan S. Neth, 89, of Broken Bow, passed away Sunday, April 23 at Callaway District Hospital. Ivan was born May 16, 1927, to Carl and Rosa Pywell Neth on the family farm in rural Broken Bow. He was united in marriage to Bonnie Enterline Neth on June 18, 1950. They lived on Ryno Table for 61 years where Ivan farmed. Upon retirement, he was Pizza Hut's first delivery driver, he was a jailer for Custer County, and was a courier for Pathology Services. For twenty years, Ivan and Bonnie owned Midwest Pawn and Jewelry. He was an avid classic car collector and could be seen around Broken Bow in a variety of vehicles. Ivan enjoyed all types of music and could play almost any instrument. Ivan was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bonnie, his sisters Ruth (Clifford) Burnett and Opal (Harold) Larson and his brother Ward Neth. He is survived by children Marvin (Barb) Neth of Callaway, Allen (Peggy) Neth of Broken Bow, and Marilyn (Gregg) Johnson of Lincoln, and sisters-in-law Marge Neth of Broken Bow and Karen Tyler of Helena, MT; grandchildren, Beth Ann (Terry) Halvorson of Rapid City, SD, Amy (Rian) Sand of Lawrence, KS, Cindy (Drew) Carlton of Kearney, Michael (Holly) Neth of Lawrence, KS, Kevin (Jamie) Neth of Broken Bow, Brandon Lammers of Peoria, AZ, and Malinda (Brandon) Bakker of Auburn; his pride and joys great-grandchildren Caitlin Sand, Ben Halvorson, Ashley and Braylen Carlton, Gracie, Malachi, and Parker Neth, Taylor Lammers, James Johnson and Audrey Neth; many nieces and nephews, and the many friends he made during his lifetime. Funeral services will be held Thursday April 27th at 2:00PM at E-Free Church on Memorial Drive, Broken Bow, NE. Govier Bros. Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
