Albion Weekly News (Albion, Nebr.), August 3, 1933, p. 4, col. 3 Death Summons Jos. Voboril Sr. Primrose – Joseph Voboril, Sr. was born at Kozohldoy, Czech Slovokia, September 15th, 1850 and died at his home west of Primrose July 27th, 1933 after batting the cares and toils of life for nearly eighty-three years. He came to America in 1888, settling in Butler county, Nebr., coming to Boone county in 1898, and locating on a farm west of Primrose where he has since made his home. In the year 1874 he was married to Miss Marie Sindelar and to this union five children were born, four of whom survive, Joseph A., James and Mrs. Vance Burda of Primrose and Mrs. Don Wise of Texas. Deceased was a believer in the golden rule and impressed those with whom he had dealings of this cardinal virtue. He was a kind father and an ideal neighbor and his integrity was beyond reproach. The loss of such a character is truly a blow to any community. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's church in Primrose Saturday morning, July 29th conducted by the Rev. Fr. Schauer, interment being made at Cedar Rapids beside his wife who preceded him in death by some ten or eleven years.
