Stella M. Gleason, 86, of Peoria died at 11:15 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, at her residence. Born June 3, 1914, in Peoria to Jack and Louise Brandt Buichette, she married Peter Gleason on Nov. 14, 1931, in Peoria. He died July 29, 1997, in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by one brother, one son and two grandchildren. Surviving are four sons, Edward of Morton, William (and Marla) of East Peoria, Michael (and Cheryle) of Peoria Heights and Gerald (and Margaret) of Madison, Ala.; three daughters, Harriett Lewis of Peoria Heights, Christine (and Don) Shenant of Chillicothe and Julie Gleason of Peoria; 20 grandchildren; 25 greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Peoria Heights. Cremation has been accorded. August 18, 2000 | Peoria Journal Star, The (IL)
