Laura Scharf, 87, funeral will be held Monday. Miss Laura Scharf died Saturday at Pierce. She was born December 8, 1899 in Pierce county to John and Anna (Fischer) Scharf. She was survived by 1 sister Mary Pochop of Pierce along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers and 6 sisters. It appears that the marker has the wrong year of birth on it. According to her social security it has the year of birth as 1899. The 1900 census has her birth as December 1899.
