Bio
Florence Irene Brueggen passed away on April 1, 2004. She was born January 22, 1916, in Ayrshire, Iowa, to Frank Herrley and Cassie Herrley Smola and grew up in Kingfisher, OK. She raised her family on farms near Dover and Crescent and later worked in retail in Oklahoma City. She is survived by her sister, Viola Schroeder, Kingfisher; daughters and sons in law Martha and Connie Mack Tharp, Yukon, Marcia Brueggen, Oklahoma City, Barbara and George Rigler, Ventura, CA, Carol and Bob Tindel, Redlands, CA, and Cynthia and Steven Hague, Oklahoma City; grandchildren Chris and Sharon Tharp, Broken Arrow and Amy and Ben Mayfield, Guthrie, and five great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Patrick's Parish before moving to St. Ann's Nursing Home. She will be remembered as a kind and devoted mother, grandmother and friend. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Catholic Charities, 1501 N. Classen Blvd., OKC 73106. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 3, 2004, at St. Ann's Nursing Home Chapel with interment to follow at Kingfisher Cemetery, Kingfisher, OK.
