The Advocate-Messenger, Danville, Kentucky, 01 Jun 1982, Tue • Page 2 Otis Reed Otis Reed, 71, of Old Mitchellsburg Road in Parksville, died at his residence Monday morning from an apparent heart attack. He was a farmer and worked at Sellers Engineering. He was born in Tennessee on April 5, 1911 . One daughter, Nancy Jones preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Mary Abbott Reed, two daughters, Mrs Tommy ( Frances) Sims of Parksville and Donis Presler of Louisville; two sons, Guy of Parksville and Charles Reed of Mainz, West Germany; four brothers, William of Cincinnati and Dewey, Foster, and Harold Reed, all of Indiana; four sisters, Lola Conatser of Liberty. Ova Jones of Lexington, Velma Hams of Butler, and Jean Gilmore of Indiana; 10 grand children and two great grandchildren. Funeral will be at 11 am Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home wit the Rev Sam Smock officiating. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today. Sam Smock. Burial was in Danville Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers were members of the Parksville Rescue Squad. Honorary pallbearers were Chester Vanover, Jack Deskins, Norman Keller, Foster Helm and James Cummins. Reed died Monday at his residence from an apparent heart attack.
