Bio
The funeral for Aunt Mollie was held at the Beauregard Vernon Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder, Louisiana. The Rev. Kelly Harper preached the funeral. She was born at Ripley (near Cushing) in Payne County, Oklahoma. I am not sure that Ripley exists today but if so it is a very small community. She first met Uncle Oscar in late 1940 or early 1941 in Oklahoma City. My father Wilburn "Steamboat" Deason thought she might have first dated Alvin Carl Deason but it was Oscar Earl Deason who swept her off her feet and they were married during September 1941 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It was shortly after the marriage they moved to California settling in the San Bernardino area.
