Freddie Davis HICKORY FLAT - Freddie Wayne Davis died Sunday, March 25, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County in New Albany. He was born June 13, 1935, to Eph Davis and Eula Timmons Davis in Booneville. He was married to the late Gussie Davis. They had three children were born. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hickory Flat. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cornerstone Baptist Church with Bro. Jimmy Wilbank and Bro. Daniel Brookman officiating. Burial will be in Gaston Cemetery in Booneville. N.L. Jones Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his sons, John (Karen) Davis, Jimmy (Penny) Davis of Hickory Flat; daughter, Fay (Randy) Gross of Ashland; three sisters, Mildred Noe of Hickory Flat, Elizabeth Horn of Monee, Ill., and Gwen Woods of Chicago; one brother, Joe Davis of Sandford, N.C.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents, and one brother, Herman R.C. Davis. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Cornerstone Baptist Church.
