Alamo Defender. He was the younger brother of Alamo defenders Edward and James Taylor. At the outbreak of the Texas Revolution he and his brothers were picking cotton on the Dorsett farm in Liberty, Texas. Upon finishing the job they left to join the Texas army. He and his Taylor brothers died in the battle of the Alamo. Taylor County, Texas, is named in honor of the three brothers.
