Bio

Mrs. Willie E. Copeland, 97, of Waco, died Thursday at her residence. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Delbert Taylor officiating. Burial will be at Bosqueville Cemetery. Mrs. Copeland was born April 2, 1892 in Whitney. She married James B. Copeland on Aug. 27, 1912 in Whitney. he died Dec 3, 1952. She was a member of Service Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include three daughter, Ilabell Horn of Waco, Elsie Culpepper of Arlington and Kathryn Vernell Moore of Fort Worth; one son Sam H. Copeland of Beaufort, N.C.: one sister, Mamie Shelley of Whitney; five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The family will be at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday for visitation. Memorials may be made to Community Hospice, care of Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center, or to the donor's favorite charity.
