From The Palmer Journal, April 6, 1967, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: Rites Held Friday For George Zlomke - Funeral services for George Zlomke, 63, of Clarks were held Friday, March 31st at the Clarks Methodist church. Burial was in the E.U.B. church cemetery at Archer. Mr. Zlomke died Tuesday in the Central City hospital following a long illness. He was born August 27, 1903 at Duff, Rock County, Nebraska, the son of Adolph Zlomke and Anna Faber. At the age of 7 years he came to the Archer community. He and Evelyn Bivens were married November 5, 1939. He farmed before moving to Clarks in 1959 where he was employed at the elevator and later operated a laundramat. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; a daughter Doris Rae and son Leland Carl, both at home; one brother, Fred; six sisters, Mrs. Roy Wagner, Mrs. Arthur Rudolf and Mrs. Albert Rudolf of Central city; Mrs. Marvin Sims and Mrs. Ben Bates of Sacramento, Calif.; and Mrs. Roy Landstrom, O'Dell, Ill.
