Bio

Mrs. Rosie Orsak was born in Moravia, Czechoslovakia. There was one brother, Joe Krupala who preceded her in death 40 years ago. In Czechoslovakia, she married Joseph Orsak and moved to America in 1884, settling at Engle, Fayette County, Texas. All of the seven sons and seven daughters were born there. In 1907, the family moved to Bomarton, where they bought land five miles southeast of Bomarton. The couple lived there until the death of Mr. Orsak. A year later, Mrs. Orsak moved to Seymour to make her home. Of the 14 children, four preceded her in death - Charles, Frank, Henry and Joe Orsak, Jr. Surviving: sons - Jim, Julius, Johnny Orsak; daughters - Mrs. Rosalie Popelka, Mrs. Mary Marak, Mrs. Celestine Pribyla, Mrs. Aurelia Bartosh, Mrs. Stephanie Coufal, Mrs. Caroline Fojtik, Mrs. Julia Mocek; two daughter-in-laws - Mrs. Emma Orsak, Mrs. Albina Michena; 47 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren. Services were held at Sacred Heart Church with High Mass sung by Fr. Francis. Rev. Paul Holly officiated.
