Bio

"Frank J. Svoboda, 74, of Ulyssess, died Wednesday in Butler County Hospital after a two-week illness. Services in Dwight Assumption Church with Rev. Gerald Vap officiating. Burial in Dwight Assumption Cemetery. Svoboda was born in Brainard November 20, 1906, son of John and Anna Sypal Svoboda. He married Amelia Theewan. He was a farmer and a member of Assumption Church and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Dennis Svoboda of Rose Creek, MN., and Donald Svoboda of Aspen, Wisconsin; a daughter, Delores (Richard) Krenk of Dwight, and three brothers, Ray and Joseph Svoboda, both of David City, and Henry Svoboda of Lincoln. He is also survived by three sisters, Anna Horacek of Brainard and Adeline (Art) Kudlacek and Alma (Alfons) Mastera, both of David City; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren."
