Bio
Belton Earl Dominick,74,entered his eternal life on March 19,2012,peacefully at his home. A native born resident of New Castle, born on Sept. 1,1937,son of George Adam Dominick Sr. and Marie (Andis) Dominick. Earl graduated from New Castle High School in 1956, and was very well known from his work at New Castle Water Department. Known to many as the scooter riding meter reader, he retired from the water department after 35 years of service. Earl was a lifelong fan and contributor of the New Castle High School Basketball team. He is survived by his daughter, Virginia "Ginger" Dominick ;three grandchildren, Timothy Hammerlund Jr., Thomas Smith and Michelle Smith-Reeves; and seven great-grandchildren. Earl is also survived by his sister-in-law, Mae George Dominick, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Earl is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Virginia Dominick; his in-laws, Loren and Elma Shaw and Patricia Trieschman; his nephew, Michael Trieschman, and Mary Jane Shaw; his parents; brothers, George Dominick Jr., Henry Dominick and James "Buddy" Dominick; sisters, Joanne Patton, Shirley Tachera, Christine Hart, Nancy Martin; and a baby sister, Laura Jo Dominick. Earl was a respected, caring and loving man who never knew a stranger. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Mar. 22,at Macer-Hall Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, March 23,2012 at the funeral home with Rev. Bob Barge officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery.
