The Bonham Daily Favorite Bonham, Texas Thursday, 01 Dec 1983, Page 2 Noel Owens Funeral services for Noel Owens of Leonard, who died Wednesday at a Leonard nursing home, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at the Leonard Church of Christ. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery under the direction of Taylor Funeral Home. Charles Wren and Noel Grisham, Church of Christ ministers, and Rev. Robert Turnipseed will conduct the services. Owens, 78, was born March 28, 1905 in Quinlan. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Owens. He married Bettie Smith Sept. 29, 1933 in Greenville. He was a bookkeeper for the Davis Gin Company in Leonard and later for the Gober Gin Company in Gober. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Leonard and of the Woodmen of the World Lodge. Survivors include his wife; one brother, Hollis Owens of Grand Prairie; one niece and one nephew. Pallbearers will be Bob Milsap, Cornell Griffitt, Robert Berry, Scott Jackson, Purvis Smith, and Clifford Brookins.
