Walker on September 26, 1918 in Provo, Utah, Utah After Perry died in 1928, Venus married Pleasant James Lindsey, Sr. on June 22, 1944, in Maricopa, Arizona. History. I, Venus Clark Walker lived as a widow for sixteen years after my husband, Perry L. Walker's death. I worked at different jobs. i worked for two years in Lehi, as a seamstress, and at the school lunch center. This work kept my children in school, clothed and fed. Virgil spent seven years in the Navy and lona worked at Provo at the City and County Building. This helped. They were good kids and seemed happy with what they had. On June 22, 1944, Pleasant James Lindsay and I were married. He was from Mesa, Arizona, and was a good man. He always took care of his Church duties and was a good husband.
