Elizabeth Jewell Edwards, 98, of Amarillo died Thursday, March 15, 2012. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Elizabeth was born Nov. 23, 1913, in Childress to Robert and Elizabeth Ragsdale. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1931. She married Eric C. Edwards in 1939 in Pampa. She was a homemaker and was a member of South Georgia Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a Christian lady who loved her family and served the Lord on a daily basis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eric Edwards, on Oct. 9, 1981, and a son, James Clayborne Edwards, on Nov. 14, 2009. Survivors include three sons, Robert Edwards and wife Jan of Amarillo, Eric Edwards II and wife Carol of Las Vegas, Nev and Billy Mack Edwards and wife Karen of Corpus Christi; nine grand children; 12 great-grand- children; and a great-great-grandchild. The family suggests memorials be to South Georgia Baptist Church.
